Sonia is 55 and has lived with MS for more than three decades. She has now lost her ability to walk, and the disease is beginning to affect her breathing. Her doctors have recommended a stem cell transplant that could slow or halt its progression, but the treatment is far beyond what she and her husband can afford alone.

Donate on GoFundMeFor more than thirty years, I have fought MS with everything I have. But today, the disease has taken away something I never imagined I would lose: my ability to walk.
I am now bedridden, and my condition has become increasingly serious. MS is affecting the muscles I need to breathe, making each day more difficult and frightening. But I am not ready to give up. I still have hope, and I need your help now.
My doctors have recommended an autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplant (AHSCT) — a chance to reset my immune system and potentially slow or halt the progression of my MS. For me, this is more than a medical procedure. It is a chance to fight for my future.
The treatment is planned at Swiss Medical. My husband Gilberto and I need to raise €150,000 to make it possible.
| Stem cell transplant & 4-week hospital stay | €115,000 |
| Immunosuppressive medication & 12-month support | €15,000 |
| Travel, accommodation & care for Gilberto | €12,000 |
| Intensive post-transplant rehabilitation | €8,000 |
| Total needed | €150,000 |
My husband Gilberto has stood beside me through years of illness. He has watched me lose abilities I once took for granted, and he cares for me every day. My greatest wish isn't extravagant. I want to feel my feet beneath me. I want to take steps again. And more than anything, I want to stand on my own two feet and hug my husband again.
"I want to stand again."
Any amount helps move this closer to reality. And if you can't give right now, sharing Sonia's story with your friends, family, and network is just as valuable — the more people who see this, the better her chances.
If the full €150,000 isn't reached, every euro raised will still go toward Sonia's medical and supportive care: home care, respiratory therapy, rehabilitation, and the equipment she needs to live safely and comfortably.
